Care for Cerebral Aneurysms

Back to an active life— Tawana Gordon of Allentown, Pa., is healthy again after receiving advanced treatment for a dangerous aneurysm. She’s happy to be back home with her sons (l-r), Courtney and Isaiah, and her boyfriend, Barry Gibbons.

A cerebral aneurysm occurs when a weakened artery wall expands like a balloon into the area of your brain around it. The aneurysm may leak blood or rupture completely into your brain or the space surrounding it.
